About Ian King

As a keen composer, photographer and walker, I decided a photographic 'slideshow' DVD based around this beautiful Welsh town would be a great way of combining my three areas of interest.

I have lived in Dolgellau for many years, so know the area reasonably well and this DVD combines photographs of local walks with some of my compositions (performed by myself using various keyboards).

Most of these photographs were taken within a few miles of Dolgellau, some within walking distance of the town, which makes Dolgellau a great base for a walking (or driving) holiday.

The 2007 Update

Having taken many more photographs since the original version of this DVD was produced in 2004 and also having bought a better digital camera soon after the original DVD was released, I decided it would be a good idea to give the whole thing a major 'facelift'.

This is a rather big update as I have added over 400 new photographs, all the slideshows now 'pan & zoom' across each photo which gives a feel of watching a movie rather than just static slides.

The complete DVD is also now in 16:9 widescreen and I have also included
six more music tracks and completely redesigned the menus and packaging.
